Regional Infrastructure Development

The role of the RDV Infrastructure Branch is to identify, facilitate and deliver infrastructure projects which contribute to the enhanced productivity, liveability and sustainability of regional and rural Victoria

Through the administration of grants, RDV's Infrastructure Branch provides funding for capital works to enhance the economic and social development of regional communities.

Regional Growth Fund

The Regional Growth Fund (RGF) is the Victorian Government’s $1 billion commitment to create new prosperity, more opportunities and better quality of life for Regional Victoria.

Delivered over 8 years, the RGF will improve local infrastructure and services, creating jobs and boosting business opportunities within Regional Victoria and is delivered by Regional Development Victoria (RDV).

New funding arrangements for the RGF commenced in July 2011 and revised program guidelines describing future priorities for the Fund, and the application and assessment process have been developed

RDV's Infrastructure Branch aims to deliver capital works that enhance the development of rural and regional Victoria by:

  • supporting industry development
  • improving and linking transport infrastructure
  • supporting the development and improvement of tourism facilities
  • providing regional Victoria with access to education and information technology.
