Economic Development through RDA
This initiative will support Regional Development Australia (RDA) committees to pursue economic development priorities in their regions.
RDA Committees will be able to access this funding to implement projects arising from Regional Strategic Plans, including:
- research and planning projects to develop actions to respond to specific economic or industry development issues identified in Plans, such as environmental adaptation strategies for region-wide industries likely to be impacted by climate change or water scarcity;
- strategy development to foster the sustainable development of and investment in emerging industries of regional comparative advantage;
- development of streamlined management arrangements for major regional economic assets; and
- place-based initiatives, such as implementation of broad based community and economic development strategies in disadvantaged locations.
Delivery
This fund is delivered by Regional Development Victoria.
