Significant support has been made available to small businesses and primary producers in the wake of the bushfires via the provision of grants, mentoring and advice services, low interest loans and support for tourist marketing campaigns in fire-affected areas. Although some grants have now closed, support is still available.

Small Business Mentoring Service
The Small Business Mentoring Service is also available to help. It’s an independent, not-for-profit organisation providing experienced business mentors to Victorian businesses, including those facing challenging times.

Rural Finance Corporation
New concessional loans are available through Rural Finance for businesses and primary producers impacted by the 2009 Victorian bushfires. Additional low-interest rate loans will soon be available for businesses investing or reinvesting in Marysville.
Rural Finance has administered on behalf of the Victorian and Australian Governments, Clean-up and Restoration Grants and Concessional Loans to primary producers, small businesses and not-for-profit organisations whose properties have been physically impacted by the fires.
