Visiting Victoria Valley Meat Exports, the Government today announced the company’s $1.2 million expansion to boost jobs and generate up to $54 million in additional exports per year. This is also expected to create 85 new indirect jobs for the local area.
The project is set to increase the cattle processing capacity of the facility to 1,200 head per week, providing an additional market for cattle producers in Gippsland. The LVEFF is focused on fast-tracking projects that help existing companies grow and reach their full potential, as well as attracting new investment into the Valley.
A new dedicated Latrobe Valley economic development team has also been established to work alongside the community to deliver jobs and a stronger economic future.
