New RDV Regional Directors appointed02/12/2015
As outlined in Victoria’s Regional Statement, the Victorian Government committed to strengthening the seniority of regional executive leadership in Regional Development Victoria (RDV).
The new Regional Director roles represent a significant shift for RDV and will provide unprecedented levels of senior government leadership and accountability across the whole of regional Victoria.
The Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources has undertaken an extensive recruitment process and has appointed the following people to the new Regional Director roles:
- Mr. Unni Menon Regional Director, Barwon South West
- Ms. Leigh Kennedy Regional Director, Gippsland
- Mr. Anthony Schinck Regional Director, Grampians
- Mr. Matt Nelson Regional Director, Hume
- Mr. Stan Liacos Regional Director, Loddon Mallee
These Regional Directors bring a diverse range of skills and experience in private and public sector roles and established networks within their regions. The new RDV Regional Directors will play a vital role in delivering the Governments commitments to regional and rural Victorians under the Regional Statement.The RDV Regional Directors will commence in their roles over the summer, with all new starters in place by 27th January 2016. From February 2016, they will undertake an extensive engagement program to meet and consult with stakeholders throughout their regions. More details of this will be available early next year.
