Grampians RDA Committee
Chairperson
Jo Bourke (Rupanyup) has held senior management roles throughout western Victoria. She has contributed to the Wimmera’s development in her roles with community groups and as an elected local Councillor and local government Commissioner. Jo is currently Executive Director with the Wimmera Development Association. Her previous experience has included consultation, policy and project management roles with regional organisations such as the Wimmera Catchment Management Authority, Wimmera Mallee Pipeline Project Planning Committee and GWMWater.
Deputy Chairperson
Michael Tudball (Bacchus Marsh) is a current Councillor and former Mayor of Moorabool Shire Council. He is also a Board Member and Audit Committee Chair of the Country Fire Authority and Vice-President of Djerriwarrh Health Services (Melton & Moorabool).
Committee Members
- Kaylene Conrick (Daylesford) has had 18 years’ experience in local government and is currently CEO of Hepburn Shire Council. She is also a member of several boards and committees, including Economic Development Australia.
- Anthony Schinck (Mt Helen/Ballarat) is the CEO of the City of Ballarat and has a wealth of experience in local government, finance, infrastructure and organisation development. Anthony is also active on many regional boards and committees including local not-for-profit groups.
- Pat McAloon (Ararat) has had a long term interest in both regional development and local government . He was an elected councillor for a total of 10 years with the City of Ararat and the Ararat Rural City Council. He is a former Mayor of the City of Ararat. Since retiring after 12 years as the Executive Officer of the Greater Green Triangle Area Consultative Committee , he has worked as a project officer for the Grampians Pyrenees Regional Development Board and the Northern Grampians Shire Council (where he is currently employed) .Pat is a member of Ararat Landcare and Ararat St Vincent dePaul Society.
- Bronwen Clark (Horsham) runs a Public Relations consultancy in Horsham, specialising in community engagement, crisis communications and public relations strategy. She is a published author and experienced facilitator. She is a board member of the Wimmera Development Association and is involved in a number of community organisations.
- Kay Macaulay (Ballarat) is the Ballarat and Wimmera Regional Manager for the Australian Industry Group, a leading industry association in Australia. Ai Group member businesses employ around 750,000 staff in an expanding range of industry sectors. Kay is also involved in a range of regional groups including the Ballarat industry Development Workforce Strategy committee, University of Ballarat Council, Highlands Local Learning and Employment Network, Leadership Ballarat and Western Region, Ballarat Regional Occupational Safety and Health Group, HR Professionals Network and the Ballarat Export Network.
- Norman Clyne (Warracknabeal) is Chairman/Secretary of Clyne Foods Pty Ltd, former Chairman of the Wimmera Development Association and Chairman of Rural Northwest Health.
- John King AM (Ballarat) a civil engineer, is founder and principal shares and equity holder in the JG King Group, the fifth largest home builder in Victoria and the largest manufacturer of steel frame homes in Australia. John is also a highly regarded economic and community development leader in the Grampians region. He was awarded the Order of Australia medal in the 2009 Queens Birthday Honour for his service to the community, and to people with disabilities through philanthropy. He is a Board Member of McCallum Disability Services.
- John Ackland (Horsham) is the Chief Executive Officer of the Skillinvest Group which includes WORKCO, LINK Employment & Training and Longerenong College. He is a Director of Group Training Australia, Chairman of the Wimmera Migration Settlement Committee, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Group Training Association of Victoria.
