Hume Regional Planning

The Hume Strategy for Sustainable Communities 2010-2020 (Hume Strategy) is a ten year strategic plan that provides a framework for long term cooperation and investment through a regional plan and four sub regional plans.

The Hume Strategy is set out under five themes – environment, communities, economy, transport and land use – in which key directions and strategies are identified within regional and sub regional contexts.

The Hume RDA Committee is committed to community stakeholder engagement in regional planning and will work in partnership with the Hume Regional Management Forum (RMF) and the North East Local Government Network (NELGN) to implement strategic priority actions identified in the Hume Strategy.
