Regional Programs

The Australian Government's approach to regional development is to work in partnership with communities, government and the private sector to foster the development of self-reliant communities and regions.

Regional Development Australia Fund (RDAF)

The RDAF is a national program to support Australia's regions and enhance the economic development and liveability of their communities.

Community Infrastructure Grants Program

The Community Infrastructure Grants program delivers on the Government's funding commitments to Regional Australia. The program will fund the construction and upgrade of local sport, recreation and community infrastructure identified by communities as priority investments for their regions.

Promoting Regional Living Program

The Promoting Regional Living program supports regional cities and towns in implementing targeted marketing strategies that promote the benefits and opportunities of living and working in those regions. Promoting Regional Living will create opportunities for regional cities and towns to showcase their regions to their full advantage, while enhancing community perceptions of regional cities and towns as desirable living and working alternative.

National Bike Path Projects

National Bike Path Projects are part of the Jobs Fund - a $650 million Australian Government initiative to support and create jobs and increase skills through innovative projects that build community infrastructure and increase social capital in local communities across the country.

Better Regions

Better Regions provides funding for community infrastructure to enhance the liveabilty of regions.

Regional and Rural Research and Development Grants

The Regional and Rural Research and Development Grants (RRRDG) program funds research into issues affecting Australia's regions and helps communicate this research to national and regional decision makers.

National Broadband Network

ICN is an Australian and New Zealand-based organisation that introduces local suppliers to the supply chains of major projects.
