19 Projects submitted for RDAF Rounds 3 and 4

26 February 2013

There was significant interest in the Regional Development Australia Fund Rounds Three and Four, with the Hume Region putting forward 12 EOIs for Round Three and seven EOIs for Round Four.

Round Three will provide $50 million for projects in small towns, while Round Four will provide $175 million for strategic infrastructure projects in regional Australia.

The Hume RDA Committee played a pivotal role in the assessment and review of EOIs and identifying priority projects from our region to proceed to full application.

Prior to the closing date for the submission of EOIs, project proponents had the opportunity to present their projects to the Hume RDA Executive support staff who then informed the committee on key information in relation to EOIs.

The projects selected to proceed to full application are:

Round Three

  • Towong Shire Council - Tallangatta Eco-community and Integrated Services Hub
  • Moira Shire Council - Cobram Urban Design Framework - Stage 2
  • Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation Inc - Building Bonegilla Boardwalk and Bike Trail
  • Alpine Shire Council - The Bright AMP
  • Mitchell Shire Council - Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Walk

Round Four

  • Wodonga City Council - Creating Wodonga’s City Heart
  • Greater Shepparton City Council - Greater Shepparton Regional Sports Precinct

Organisations now have until 27 March 2013 (for Round 3) and 11 April 2013 (for Round 4) to complete a full application. An announcement on projects to be funded will be made by the Minister for Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government in early June 2013 (for Round 3) and early July 2013 (for Round 4).
