Rail trail extension

Location: Rutherglen to Wahgunyah

Funding: Regional Development Victoria's infrastructure development fund  - $495,000

Rail trails are breathing new life into disused railway lines. Converted into wide shared pathways for walkers and cyclists, the trails provide visitors and locals with a relaxed way to get around and enjoy regional Victoria's food and wine, historic townships and beautiful scenery.

Part if the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, Murray Link is an 8.8-kilometre stretch from Wahgunyah to Rutherglen. The trail travels through the Rutherglen wine region and is a great way to explore the many famous wineries that have made this region a destination for food and wine lovers.
