A spruce up for the streets of Timboon, located near the Twelve Apostles and famous for its organic dairy, ice creamery, berry farm, brewery, whisky distillery and 40-kilometre bike trail, has been locked in.

The $300,000 Regional Infrastructure Fund facelift will include a new footbridge, 30 more car parks and the upgrade of pedestrian connections, making navigation around the town’s core easier for locals and tourists alike, and expanding the capacity of Timboon to accommodate visitors.

The Timboon revamp is among more than 30 initiatives across the state worth a total of around $17 million as part of this year’s Regional Infrastructure Fund program, which uses a competitive process to distribute grants of up to $500,000 to councils and council-sponsored projects.
