It is a difficult time for all Victorians, we are feeling the impacts of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and regional communities are continuing to deal with the aftermath of recent bushfires. With all of us spending more time at home, the Victorian Government is committed to new ways of supporting the community and keeping us feeling connected.

On Saturday 4 April, through the Delivered, Live Streaming Festival people across the state were able to enjoy a night of live streaming music and comedy in the comfort of their home.

Featuring acclaimed Melbourne-born indie artist Alex Lahey, the musical line up also included Bob Evans, (Jebediah front man Kevin Mitchell), pop rock artist Ali Barter, indie favourites Even and acclaimed blues singer CW Stoneking. They were joined by four talented local comedians, including Andy Saunders and Sami Shah, for a night of live entertainment connecting Victorians through music, comedy, inspiring stories and advice from experts on managing the effects of feeling isolated.

The festival was organised by the Victorian Government in partnership with Handshake Agency to provide relief to communities doing it tough, while supporting our state’s valued creative industries also struggling with the impacts of the pandemic.

Viewers were encouraged to make a donation by purchasing a ticket through Oztix. Donations will help support our creative industries, including artists, mangers, sound engineers and support staff.

The festival also recognised that Victoria’s rural and regional communities may feel particularly isolated at the moment, including those already recovering from the impacts of bushfires and dry seasonal conditions.

The Delivered, Live Streaming Festival was launched in partnership with Handshake Agency and was the first live streaming festival in support of our regional communities.

The stream went live at 5pm on Saturday 4 April at www.deliveredlive.com.au with tickets available at www.oztix.com.au.
