Regional Development Victoria

Applications now open for Tiny Towns Fund

05/11/2025

From Willaura to Walhalla, regional Victoria’s smallest communities will be supported with a new round of the $20 million Tiny Towns Fund.

Grants between $5,000 and $50,000 will be available for projects in towns with up to 5,000 people to pave the way for more community connection and visitation through projects locals want.

Around 350 projects have already received support from the first 2 rounds of the fund across more than 300 of regional Victoria’s smallest towns.

More than 50 community halls are already being supported by the fund along with dozens of new and upgraded playgrounds and outdoor spaces, strengthening communities for all ages.

This includes the Laharum Hall, which received new heating and cooling systems along with a new acoustic ceiling to keep the space ready to serve local events and gatherings.
