Aussie staple arrives at Gippsland manufacturing precinct
20/10/2026We built it, and they are coming.
Morwell’s Gippsland Logistics and Manufacturing Precinct has welcomed its first tenant – Australia Post.
The 200-year-old company is building its new Morwell Parcel Facility, which is set to bring jobs and an economic boost to the Latrobe Valley.

The modern, purpose-built facility will bring together its company and StarTrack operations from nearby sites in Moe, Morwell and Traralgon.
Spanning 10,000 square-metres, it will feature advanced automation capable of processing up to 5,000 parcels per hour.
This will improve efficiency, safety, and service for customers, team members, and businesses in the region.
The 69-hectare Gippsland Logistics and Manufacturing Precinct promises to become the centre of industrial growth for the region. It has received support from all three levels of government to install essential infrastructure – including $14 million from the Victorian Government.

This infrastructure - including power, water, sewerage, electricity and NBN connections - is attracting private investment and further development, with Australia Post’s new facility leading the way.
Once fully developed, the industrial precinct will deliver a major employment boost for the region. More than 70 jobs are being created through the staged delivery of essential infrastructure, and up to 900 additional jobs are expected once the land is fully tenanted.
We are supporting similar industrial land developments across the state, includingin Ballarat, Bairnsdale, Bendigo, Geelong and Portland.
We’re also helping unlock more land through our Trunk Infrastructure Fund. This fund invests in essential infrastructure that provides a competitive operating environment for existing and emerging regional industries.
These investments are driving economic and job growth across rural and regional Victoria.
