Building homes for workers in Robinvale

22/10/2025

We’re supporting key workers and services in Robinvale, with accommodation on the way for staff at Robinvale District Health Services and Robinvale College.

With support through the Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, the project will build 10 houses on a previously under-utilised block of land in town.

The one and two-bedroom houses are being built by local company Mildura Homes, providing economic benefits and business to local suppliers. More than 60 tradespeople from the region will be engaged to help deliver the project.

Robinvale District Health Services delivers healthcare across the region, while Robinvale College provides education to more than 200 students. The new accommodation will help these two organisations to attract and retain staff.

It’s one of many projects across regional Victoria that will help address shortages in worker accommodation, improving the liveability and prosperity of communities.

Swan Hill Rural City Council will lead the delivery of the project, which is expected to be completed in mid-2026.

The Regional Worker Accommodation Fund is part of a record $47 billion invested by the Victorian Government in just over a decade towards projects that are making regional cities and towns even better places to live, work, stay, experience, invest and study.
