Even more projects for our tiny towns

10/06/2026

Hundreds of new projects have been announced for Victoria’s tiniest towns, supporting stronger communities and creating local jobs.

From hall upgrades to pump tracks, there are 157 new projects from Round 3 of the Tiny Towns Fund across 151 regional towns that have fewer than 5,000 people.

Round 3 takes the tally of projects to more than 500 grants between $5,000 and $50,000 across regional and rural Victoria.

Whether it’s a new walking track or playground equipment, these projects deliver what locals want and help communities connect and prosper.

An accessibility ramp to the Newbridge Community Hall is just one example. The upgrade will mean locals and visitors of all abilities can stay connected in the heart of town. Newbridge is a small town west of Bendigo with a population of around 170 people  and a strong gold mining history. The hall is an important meeting place for the small community.

Not far away in Campbells Forest, the local progress association is receiving a grant to build an outdoor area next to their hall, with a roofed shelter, lighting and power among the improvements.

Across the state, dozens of projects like these have been announced, on top of the more than 100 already completed with support from the Fund.
