Final Regional Launching Pad location ready for liftoff

17/02/2026

We’ve opened our sixth and final Regional Launching Pad location in Geelong, helping the private sector to realise more business opportunities in regional Victoria.

Through a partnership with the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, local eligible businesses and investors can engage with us to help establish or grow their regional operations, or to realise investment opportunities across the state.

Offering free meeting and co-working spaces to connect eligible businesses and investors with each other and the expertise of our locally based teams, the launching pads are now available in:

  • Ballarat
  • Bendigo
  • Geelong
  • Melbourne
  • Morwell
  • Wangaratta.

Our teams will use their expert knowledge of local and regional economies to help take ideas from design to delivery, helping drive growth and innovation that will support businesses, investors and our regional communities.

The Regional Launching Pads Pilot Program supports the Victorian Government’s Economic Growth Statement, which is aimed at preparing our economy, people and businesses to secure the opportunities of the future.

The program is set up to support:

  • small regional businesses looking to expand
  • larger, established businesses that have an interest in sharing knowledge and expertise
  • Metro Melbourne-based, interstate or international businesses looking to expand their operations into regional Victoria
  • investors interested in building and expanding small, regionally based businesses to help them realise their potential
  • other sectors that support regional economic growth.

The Launching Pads are well-placed to drive growth and innovation across Government’s identified priority sectors, including:

  • advanced manufacturing and defence
  • health technologies and medical research
  • clean and circular economy
  • digital technologies
  • agribusiness.
