Helping workers make a home in the High Country
23/10/2026We’re helping boost Eildon’s local workforce, with construction now complete on 6 new units to support nearby healthcare, hospitality and education services.
Supported by our Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, these units are the first of 12 to be delivered across two sites in town – providing lodgings for up to 33 workers.
The first homes are now ready for tenants that will fill roles in key services and businesses ahead of the busy summer months – including health, hospitality and education.
Bringing more workers into the area is a boost for the local economy, and positions Eildon as an ideal location for private sector investment and development.
The new accommodation will also help ease pressures on the local rental and real estate market.
Centrally located, the units give tenants easy access to local services, recreation and community life in one of the High Country’s most scenic areas.
Delivered by regional builder Millbuilt Pty Ltd, the homes are the latest worker accommodation project to use Modern Methods of Construction – such as modular building processes – to deliver the units affordably and efficiently, while supporting regional jobs throughout construction and assembly.
Works continue on another 6 modular homes that will be installed at a second site in the town, with full delivery of the project due in 2027.
More than 10 Regional Worker Accommodation Fund projects are now complete, delivering much-needed accommodation for workers across regional Victoria, with dozens more progressing.
Projects like these are part of our ongoing work to make rural and regional Victoria even better places to live, work, stay, experience, invest and study.
