Locking in more workers for Leongatha
30/07/2026We’re helping to bring more workers to Leongatha to support local service providers and businesses.
Construction is now underway on 14 new apartments at aged-care provider Woorayl Lodge, which will house up to 25 workers, or 15 workers and 10 family members.
It’s the latest project funded by our Regional Worker Accommodation Fund to help secure much-needed staff for key local industries.

In addition to aged-care workers for Woorayl Lodge, the accommodation will be available for professionals in education, law enforcement and manufacturing.
This will help boost productivity and liveability in Leongatha, while supporting economic development across south Gippsland.
The accommodation will also feature accessible entry points, ensuring workers of all ages and abilities will feel comfortable and welcome at the site.
Woorayl Lodge’s new worker accommodation is among almost 50 accommodation projects across Victoria currently supported through our Regional Worker Accommodation Fund.
It’s part of our ongoing work to make our regions even better places to live, work, experience, invest and study.
