More jobs to help Gippsland farm keep it fresh

We’re helping more fresh veggies reach tables across the country.

It’s thanks to new accommodation that will help Riviera Fresh attract workers and increase production.

These two new houses have been supported through our Regional Worker Accommodation Fund and will house up to 30 workers.

This will help Riviera Fresh address labour shortages, grow its local workforce and expand its packing and shipping operations.

These houses also complement the company’s privately built accommodation at Perry Bridge, which can accommodate a further 35 workers.

Founded in Lindenow in the 1880s, Riviera Fresh is a 5th generation business and one of Gippsland’s great agribusiness success stories.

From humble beginnings on a 100-acre lot, the company now operates at four Australian sites, producing more than 7,000 tonnes of fresh produce every year, with a focus on healthy food and sustainable practices.

The new housing at Riviera Fresh is among almost 50 projects across Victoria supported through the Regional Worker Accommodation Fund.

This fund is part of the more than $50 billion that we have invested in regional Victoria in just over a decade - making our regions even better places to live, work, stay, experience, invest and study.
