New upgrades arrive in Port Fairy
15/07/2025The new East Beach precinct in Port Fairy is complete and ready for locals and tourists to enjoy all year round.
The project was made to bring more visitors to East Beach. It now has better and easier access for everyone.
The 4,000 square metre space includes new grass and garden areas for locals and visitors. There are new shelters, barbecues, toilets, change rooms, water fountains, bike racks, public seats, and sun lounges.
These upgrades make it a great place for day trips and holidays. The new precinct is close to Port Fairy’s Gardens Caravan Park, a popular place for people visiting Victoria’s Great South Coast during warmer months.
The project not only made the beach more attractive and easier to use but also created about 40 jobs for local construction workers.
Port Fairy is a family-friendly town about 30 minutes from Warrnambool. East Beach has calm waves and shallow water, making it safe and fun for families.
The Victorian Government supported this project with $1.27 million in funding.
