RDA appoints new Deputy Chairs and members
07/10/2025New appointments will help Victoria’s 6 RDA committees grow strong and confident regions, driving economic success that links government, businesses and communities together.
Committee members were selected for their business expertise and understanding of their respective regions, bringing experience from local government, private businesses, local communities and not-for-profit sectors.
New Deputy Chairs were selected for their knowledge, expertise and leadership and will join the RDA Chairs to deliver positive change across the state.
Each RDA committee will deliver a 2025-2026 Business Plan to help diversify and grow its regional economy. The plans are tailored to each region, including collaboration to support industries such as agribusiness and tourism.
The new committees will build on previous RDA successes, including supporting regional communities to transition to renewable energy, grow skilled workforces and advocate for improved digital connectivity in regional Victoria.
The RDA program is an Australian Government Initiative, with over 50 committees throughout the country aimed at supporting regional growth and prosperity by identifying opportunities across industries, businesses, communities and government.
Victorian RDA committees are a partnership between the Australian and Victorian governments, supported by Regional Development Victoria. The committees operate in the Barwon South West, Gippsland, Grampians, Hume and Loddon Mallee regions and Melbourne.
Each Victorian RDA committee is involved in developing submissions, providing strategic advice to government and supporting regional investment attraction.
