Three growing business precincts in the northeast will gain the essential services needed to attract new investment. Water, power and gas connections will support development at GV Link Enterprise Park in Mooroopna, the Mansfield Enterprise Park, and the Alpine Commercial Estate in Wangaratta.
The Trunk Infrastructure Fund will also support better connections at two Gippsland sites. The Icon Industrial Precinct in Morwell will gain improved road and transport access, while a new sewer connection at Campbells Acres in Bairnsdale will make more industrial land ready for development.
In Bendigo, essential services and site improvements will help the Howard Street Industrial Precinct accommodate business growth. New roads and service connections will also prepare more land for industry at the Gibbins Drive Industrial Estate in Cohuna.
New recycled water infrastructure will be installed by Barwon Water to improve food production, viticulture and tourism related businesses around Portarlington and the Northern Bellarine.
Works completed at Avalon Airport show how the fund is helping regional sites get ready for new opportunities. A water main for the control tower and upgraded roads supported the airport’s preparations for international flights to return.
The Trunk Infrastructure Fund has grown from $15 million to $27.5 million, creating more opportunities to develop and expand local industries through grants between $500,000 and $2 million.
