Unlocking land for business investment near Seymour
02/11/2026We’ve invested in early works to establish a new industrial precinct near Seymour – paving the way for job growth and business investment in one of Victoria’s fastest growing municipalities.
This includes a new intersection at the Hilldene Employment Precinct, part of a more than $1.6 million investment by the Victorian Government.
Construction of the Seymour-Tooborac Road intersection will begin in coming weeks, marking the final stage of early works at the site and opening the precinct to businesses looking to establish or expand in central Victoria.
This investment will help Mitchell Shire Council unlock the precinct to address industrial land shortages and has also supported a masterplan for the site, engineering designs and environmental works to rezone the 50-hectare precinct for industrial use.
We are also supporting Brunton Engineering to establish a regional headquarters in the precinct, creating 20 new local jobs, and establishing the company as the anchor tenant for the site.
The company has commenced work on its new purpose-built facility, which will feature a design, testing and administration centre, new technology and machinery and loading bays to support company logistics.

With the 10-hectare site significantly larger than Brunton’s existing headquarters, the development will enable the company to respond to future growth opportunities.
The Victorian Government is supporting planning and works to establish or expand industrial land across the state – including in Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Portland and Morwell.
We’re also helping unlock more land through our $27.5 million Trunk Infrastructure Fund by investing in essential infrastructure that provides a competitive operating environment for existing and emerging regional industries.
These investments are driving economic and job growth across rural and regional Victoria and are part of our work to make our cities and towns even better places to live, work, stay, experience, invest and study.
