Worker accommodation underway in Ararat
08/09/2026Ararat businesses will soon have more access to the key workers they need to keep growing and thriving.
It’s thanks to the 15 new worker houses that are under construction at Alluvial Estate, which are being supported by our Regional Worker Accommodation Fund.
Located near the heart of Ararat, the affordable rentals will house up to 50 workers near major businesses and service providers – helping to support growth across a range of local sectors, while taking pressure off the local rental market.
The homes will help attract:
- construction workers for major projects
- apprentices and trainees to meet demand from local businesses
- workers for hard-to-fill jobs across healthcare, education and other services.
The accommodation has also been designed to support the health and wellbeing of the future tenants – located near Alexandra Gardens, Alexandra Oval, the local swimming pool, shops, cafes and local businesses.
Alluvial Estate is also well connected to public transport, making it easy for workers and their families to get around, build community connections and enjoy all that Ararat has to offer.
Delivered by E2E Growth Consultants, an award-winning and family-run business that operates across regional Victoria, this project complements our other investments in housing and workforce development in the rural city.
This includes a further 5 units at Grano Street, and trunk infrastructure at the Greenhill Lake Estate to open up development of up to 160 residential land lots.
Our Regional Worker Accommodation Fund has unlocked around $300 million in housing investment for thousands of regional workers.
It's part of our ongoing work to make our regional cities and towns even better places to live, work, stay, experience, invest and study.
