Located in the City of Greater Geelong, the Greater Avalon Airport Employment Precinct (GAEP) sits on more than 3,500 ha within the Avalon Corridor – Victoria's fastest growing logistics corridor.
It is one of 2 large employment precincts at Avalon, located near the Avalon Airport Employment Precinct.
Close to Avalon Airport, the Princes Freeway and GeelongPort, the precinct offers access to Victoria’s second international airport and land for large-format manufacturing, as well as:
- logistics
- freight distribution
- circular economy businesses
- advanced manufacturing.
The precinct is ideal for anchor tenants requiring scale, connectivity and freight access, with further investment opportunities expected in mid-late 2026.
Developers are planning commercial and industrial projects within GAEP that could lead to more than $3 billion in investment and result in up to 18,000 jobs. Planning for the precinct includes establishment of super use sites, small-scale industrial sites, commercial business sites, open space and essential trunk infrastructure.
The Victorian Planning Authority is working with the City of Greater Geelong to progress planning for the Greater Avalon Employment Precinct.
The Victorian Government is delivering a new bus route (Route 18) between Lara Station and the Avalon Airport precincts, providing a vital public transport connection for passengers and workers.
