The RDA Grampians Committee will work in partnership with community, business and all levels of government to support and contribute to strategic regional development across the local government areas of Ararat, Ballarat, Hepburn, Hindmarsh, Horsham, Golden Plains, Pyrenees, Moorabool, Northern Grampians, West Wimmera and Yarriambiack.
A key focus of the Grampians Regional Development Australia Committee will be on the economic, social and environmental issues affecting communities. Regional Development Australia will be an important contributor to and driver of:
- regional business growth plans and strategies, which will help support economic development, the creation of new jobs, skills development and business investment
- environmental solutions, which will support ongoing sustainability and the management of climate change (including the impact of drought, flood or bushfires)
- social inclusion strategies, which will bring together and support all members of the community.

Free public access to detailed economic information for the Grampians region is now available online. The tool, powered by REMPLAN and made available by the Grampians Regional Development Australia Committee is an interactive program providing economic information of the Grampians region relevant to individual needs. Available from any internet enabled computer in any location at www.economicprofile/grampiansregion, the Grampians economic profile can provide accurate and up to date data to inform potential investors, prospective residents, researchers, students and media organisations.
Grampians RDA is focused on increasing regional investment, jobs and promoting the liveability of the Grampians region. The release of this online tool will provide essential economic data that will assist in planning for economic growth and investment for the region.
The economic profile keeps its simple and presents an overview of workforce characteristics, industry contributions, the role of tourism and trends in the local economy. Data is displayed via graphs, tables and interactive maps together with easy to understand explanations and commentary. All maps, graphs, charts and text can be easily shared via social media and email or exported as images, spreadsheets and PDFs.
