‘Melbourne’s East offers the very best in Australian urban living, combining a strong knowledge-based economy with liveability, amenity, culture and opportunity. Within the next decade, Melbourne's East will have cemented its place at the heart of Australia's innovation and knowledge future, driving the ideas that lead the nation while building Australia's most desirable urban region.’

Melbourne East RDA covers the local government areas of Boroondara, Knox, Manningham, Maroondah, Monash, Whitehorse and the Yarra Ranges.

The RDA Melbourne East Committee comprises representatives that bring together a wealth of experience and knowledge of government, regional business, infrastructure, the environment and education.

The role of the RDA is to build partnerships between all levels of government, industry groups, businesses, community groups and other key stakeholders in the region.
