James Sorahan is the Executive Director of Minerals Council of Australia (MCA) Victoria Division. James represents the Victorian minerals industry through the development of public policy and regulation across a range of areas including skills and training, safety, environmental management, community engagement and mining related permitting.
James has a public policy background working in Commonwealth Treasury in taxation policy, and for federal Minister’s as a policy adviser in resources, human services and tourism policy. He is on the Board of the LEAD Loddon Mallee Community Leadership Program, Committee of the Bendigo Historical Society, and a volunteer with the Salvation Army L2P program and Dhelkaya Health Youth Mentoring Program. James plays a key role in driving Women in mining initiatives.
