Bendigo Airport now have more space for regional passengers with a new terminal complete. The new terminal is 4 times larger than the old terminal building with more space for Bendigo’s growing population.

Thousands of more passengers will enjoy an easier and more luxurious experience. It features new check-in facilities and a departure lounge, cafe, restrooms, office space and equipment shed.

The airport terminal also boasts a new entry foyer, security surveillance and baggage areas to support seamless travel to and from Bendigo.

The upgrade supports workers travelling to the regional city with more open spaces and seating to complete mobile work.
Nicholson Construction carried out the terminal works which supported more than 45 jobs, while Dja Dja Wurrung Traditional Owner business Djandak has delivered landscaping at the front of the airport.

The terminal precinct is supporting 10 ongoing jobs and will continue to back Bendigo’s growing tourism sector. There are 183 car parking spaces available at the airport’s new asphalt car park.

Qantas flights between Bendigo and Sydney are currently available with more destinations to be considered in the future to help connect Bendigo to other parts of Australia.

The airport upgrades will help attract more travellers in time for Bendigo Art Gallery’s latest exhibition Paris: Impressions of Life 1880-1925 featuring works from the oldest municipal museum in Paris, the Musee Carnavalet. The exhibition will be open until 14 July 2024.

The project has been made possible through our $4.5 million investment, with another $4.5 million from the Federal Government to deliver an airport business park that’s ready for activation.

The business park features 9 lots of land that are ready for activation by local businesses from industries including service industries, flight training, freight and warehousing, and car hire services.

The infrastructure connections include drainage, sewer, water, service, roadworks, a new car park, and improved lighting and landscaping.
