Expressions of Interest opens for Bendigo GovHub project

The Victorian Government has opened an Expression of Interest (EOI) process to identify the head contractor to deliver the $90 million Bendigo GovHub - marking an important milestone in the project.

The new GovHub in central Bendigo will create new jobs, boost the local economy and centralise the delivery of a range of government services - revitalising the northern-end of the city.

The EOI process for the Bendigo GovHub is being managed by Development Victoria and is open for four weeks and closes on Friday, 21 February at 4.00 pm. Interested parties can download the EOI documentation at

Under the Victorian Industry Participation Policy, the GovHub project is required to use local firms, local materials, local expertise and local skills, and where possible deliver flow on benefits to the Bendigo economy. Local sub-contractors who might be interested in the project can register now on

Once the EOI process is closed, a shortlist of suitable contractors will be identified and invited to tender. Construction is expected to begin in the middle of this year, subject to relevant approvals.

The state-of-the-art building will accommodate up to 1000 local and state government workers and feature ground floor community spaces, along with a welcoming customer service area, a concierge, a café, opportunities for heritage or local art exhibitions and spaces with ‘lookouts’ towards landscaped gardens and beyond.

The Bendigo GovHub is the third GovHub the Victorian Government has committed to deliver – joining Ballarat and Latrobe Valley and is part of a suite of projects being delivered across Bendigo, including Bendigo Law Courts and Bendigo TAFE.

The Government will continue to engage with the Bendigo community throughout the GovHub’s planning and construction process.
