Beacon Point Trail one step closer

30/01/2023

The Victorian Government is supporting the City of Greater Geelong to connect the Clifton Springs community to the coast with the Beacon Point Shared Trail Project.

The project is being supported with $360,000 from the latest round of the Regional Infrastructure Fund.

Boasting views of the Bellarine – the Beacon Point Shared Trail will soon connect the reserve to the coastline with 800 metres of shared path between the reserve to the beach.

Signage, trail information and seating will also be built along the path with native and indigenous plants species planted to revegetate the area.

The Regional Infrastructure Fund backs key projects that make communities connect and grow – from streetscape upgrades to brand new community facilities.

The Regional Jobs and Infrastructure Fund also includes the Regional Jobs Fund, which encourages private investment to support more jobs growth in regional and rural Victoria.

Since 2015, the Fund has backed all of rural and regional Victoria’s 48 local councils and businesses across the state to kickstart over 1,000 projects that have created 13,000 jobs.

The Fund is part of the Government’s record investment of more than $36 billion in rural and regional Victoria since 2015. For more information, visit Regional Jobs and Infrastructure Fund.
