The newly refurbished Grampians Estate Cellar Door at Great Western has officially opened its doors thanks to support from the Victorian Government.

Grampians Estate is a family owned business which began producing wine in 1995 from its base at Mafeking, south of Moyston.

The business was awarded $40,000 from the Wine Growth Fund to undertake a large extension, including a new deck and a new kitchen, allowing them to launch a light lunch menu with a beautiful view over the historic vines at its St Ethels Vineyard.

The funding has also created a new visitor area to allow guests to see and experience the historic St Ethels vineyard, which was first planted in 1878.

The Wine Growth Fund has supported the growth of Victoria’s world-class wineries, increased the number of visitors to wine regions, boosted exports and supported local jobs.

The opening of the expanded outdoor dining facilities at Grampians Estate is a timely example of how outdoor dining options can help businesses adapt and recover from the coronavirus pandemic.
