Agriculture Victoria support for drought and dry seasonal conditions affected farmers03/06/2019
Farmers across Central and East Gippsland and Northern and North West Victoria impacted by drought and dry seasonal conditions have a number of programs and assistance available to them to help manage through these challenging times and prepare their farm business for the future.
The Victorian Government has so far committed over $45 million in targeted support to help farming communities. A number of grants are available to support pasture renovation and the installation of water infrastructure and other on-farm drought infrastructure. Payments are also available to assist in easing financial pressures. Eligibility restrictions apply so visit Rural Finance or call 1800 260 425 for more information.
Agriculture Victoria is also running local technical decision-making workshops covering stock containment areas, pasture and livestock management, and animal health and welfare.
