19/07/2022Victoria’s largest region now has an online investment directory, with information and inspiration for business-minded people looking to start up or scale up in regional Victoria.
Launching this month, the Invest Loddon Mallee website helps people connect to the Loddon Mallee region’s diverse assets, expert advice, industry leaders and government support.
The Loddon Mallee region occupies more than a quarter of Victoria. It starts just north of Melbourne in the Macedon Ranges and runs up through Greater Bendigo and Swan Hill to Mildura.
The region is:
- Victoria’s largest grower of food and fibre and supports one of the most diverse agricultural economies in the state
- a leader in solar and renewables
- offers exceptional connections, via road, rail, air and internet
- known for having a vibrant culture thanks to its distinct creative industries
Invest Loddon Mallee profiles industries, locations and strengths to help inform investment opportunities in the Loddon Mallee region. It provides links to available support through the region’s 10 local government areas and five Aboriginal corporations, and access to supporting data and reports.
It also profiles some of the region’s business success stories across diverse industries, including medicinal cannabis, tourism accommodation, animal health, construction and renewable energy.
