About the Expo

The 2012 Regional Victoria Living Expo is a key initiative in the Victorian Government's strategy to drive population and investment to regional and rural Victoria.

As part of this, the Regional Victoria Living Expo will:

  • Provide Melbourne residents and businesses with all the information they need when considering relocating to regional and rural Victoria, including promotion of specific job and career opportunities.
  • Bring all regions of Victoria under one roof allowing Melburnians the chance to better understand the range of opportunities in regional and rural Victoria in one visit.
  • Provide all 48 regional and rural councils with an opportunity to promote the benefits and opportunities available in their area in order to attract residents, skilled workers, business and investment.

“A Truly Outstanding Event”

'The 2012 Regional Victoria Living Expo will bring regional and rural Victoria to Melbourne to showcase its business, lifestyle and cultural riches.

It will provide a platform for communities and businesses in regional and rural Victoria to promote the lifestyle benefits to people and businesses of Melbourne.

Regional tourism, local government, education, business and cultural groups will all feature at the 2012 Regional Victoria Living Expo and provide detailed information about jobs, education and lifestyle opportunities to Melburnians interested in relocating or investing in the regions.

All 48 regional councils will come together under the one roof in Melbourne to attract residents, skilled workers, business and investment to regional cities and country communities.

'The 2012 Regional Victoria Living Expo will be a great way for regional and city communities to connect.

The Expo will bring together all the wonderful elements that make living in our regions to rewarding.

More than 130 exhibitors will provide Melbourne residents and businesses with all the information they need when considering relocating to regional and rural Victoria, including information about jobs, housing and education in a world-class venue at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in April 2012.

The Victorian Government is committed to ensuring Victoria’s regional and rural areas are true liveable alternatives to metropolitan centres.
