Flood Recovery Community Infrastructure Fund
The Flood Recovery Community Infrastructure Fund will operate from a total funding pool of $30 million.
The $30 million is a jointly administered fund between Regional Development Victoria (RDV) and the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE). RDV will provide a grants program to support flood affected regional Local Government Area's (LGA) re-establish or replace community infrastructure assets impacted by the floods.
Subject to an application and assessment process, RDV will generally provide funds to eligible flood affected LGAs for the re-establishment or replacement of flood damaged community infrastructure assets.These assets must be on LGA owned or privately owned land. Community infrastructure assets may include but are not restricted to;
- community or town halls
- heritage buildings
- sport and recreation facilities
- caravan and camping facilities
- public parks and reserves
- walking tracks.
Funds can be used for the repair and reinstatement to the structure of a damaged asset, damaged fittings and equipment integral to the function of an asset.
Eligibility
RDV will generally assess funding for flood damaged community infrastructure to support flood affected regional LGAs re-establish or replace community infrastructure assets impacted by the floods.
Community organisations whose assets have been affected within eligible municipalities are encouraged to work directly with their relevant flood affected LGA.
