The Camperdown Production Precinct is an emerging industrial and agrifood precinct in Corangamite Shire.
Corangamite Shire contributes a large percentage of Australia’s dairy products, as well as wool, beef, cropping and prime lamb.
The precinct will build on the region’s established dairy, horticulture and food processing sectors to support food innovation and value-add production for regional exports.
Camperdown is Corangamite Shire’s largest township, and the precinct is located on a key freight route that connects the southwestern plains with Geelong, Melbourne and Warrnambool – facilitating the easy movement of goods and workers.
The precinct will also provide agricultural and manufacturing functions close to farmlands, making its development an important opportunity to develop key regional industries.
Designed to support job creation and economic diversification across the shire, the precinct will provide development-ready land to attract further investment to the region.
Opportunities at the precinct for investors exist in clean energy integration, food innovation and supply chain investments.
