The Portland North Employment Precinct is helping shape Portland as a major economic centre for south west Victoria, with works reflecting our commitment to delivering trunk infrastructure across the regions.
As part of the Portland Economic Diversification Plan, $2.5 million is being invested to improve drainage and road access. These upgrades connect the precinct to key freight routes, making it more attractive for businesses.
One example is Bunnings Warehouse, which has established a new store in the precinct, spanning 5,300 m² and offering 120 car parking spaces, while creating over 50 new jobs.
The infrastructure upgrades support continued job creation, opportunities for development, investment and long-term economic growth across Portland and the broader Great South Coast region.
