The Horne Road precinct sits across 60 hectares of serviced land in the City of Warrnambool – south-west Victoria’s most populous area.
Offering heavy vehicle access to the Princes and Hopkins highways, the precinct offers industrial land to support light industrial, fabrication and warehousing industries.
Current tenants include:
- Fulton Hogan’s Warrnambool depot
- Mahar Refrigeration and Electricals’ headquarters
- PowerCor Australia’s headquarters
- South West Sheds’ shop
- Wheelie Waste’s head office.
Manufacturing is a priority for Warrnambool and is the largest contributor to the city’s regional exports and output. Much of this is driven by meat, dairy and other food manufacturing sub-sectors.
The establishment of Horne Road reflects Warrnambool City Council’s prioritisation of creating further opportunities for manufacturing and food processing.
As a regional centre, Warrnambool has access to a potentially large workforce for future tenants.
This is also bolstered by the Designated Area Migration Agreement between Council and the Australian Government, which continues to provide the area with greater access to skilled overseas workers than standard migration programs.
