Gippsland Regional Partnership achievements, 2016 to 202025/11/2020
Last Friday concluded the formalities for this Term’s role as the Gippsland Regional Partnership. The final meeting was a wonderful opportunity for reflection on the achievements of the cohort over the last 4 years.
A representative of the Minister for Regional Development, Danielle Green, recognised the important addition of Regional Partnerships to how Victorian Government works with regional and rural Victoria. Members and Chairs were thanked for their commitment and leadership, especially over the past few months, where they have provided considerable advice to Government to understand the local challenges and opportunities for recovery in Gippsland. Appreciation was also extended to Deputy Secretaries, Local Government CEO’s and State Government and Regional Directors who are all pivotal to the success of the Partnership model.
The heart-warming video below was presented to members to showcase their efforts over their tenure. These achievements include the Regional Rail Revival, Latrobe GovHub, TAFE Gippsland upgrades, Gippsland Regional Digital Plan, the establishment of the Food and Fibre Taskforce and a Destination Management Plan for Gippsland.
